University sought to renovate and expand the 10,000-sf student commons area and dining facility which included the dining servery, entry lobby, bookstore, student affairs office, student lounge, and café.

Solution
Openness is the key word to understand Ursinus College. The existing ground floor the student center was a series of interior corridors and small enclosed rooms punctuated by a large multipurpose room with no windows. The design goal was to create a vibrant community space that opened up dining servery into a thriving gathering spaces for students to relax and unwind.
